When we started Prop Firm Match, the idea was simple. Traders needed a way to compare prop firms side by side, using real data, honest reviews, and transparent metrics. The industry was growing fast, but the information available to traders was scattered, inconsistent, and often biased.
We set out to fix that. And over the past few years, Prop Firm Match has grown into the largest prop firm comparison platform in the world, with over 4 million monthly page views and a community of more than 650,000 followers across social media. Traders trust us to help them make better decisions. Firms trust us to represent them fairly.
But we always knew that online was only half the picture. And that is why we are launching Prop Firm Expo.
The Gap We Kept Seeing
Running Prop Firm Match gave us a front-row seat to the challenges traders face every day. The questions that came through our platform, our DMs, and our comment sections were often the same: Which firm should I trust? How do I know their payouts are real? Is this firm going to be around in six months?
We could answer some of those questions with data: payout statistics, rule comparisons, user reviews. But the deeper questions, the ones about trust, culture, and credibility, were harder to address through a website. Because those questions are fundamentally about people, not products.
We kept hearing from traders who wanted to meet the people behind the firms. They wanted to look a founder in the eye. They wanted to sit in a room with other traders who understood their journey. They wanted the kind of connection that screens cannot deliver.
And we kept hearing from firms, too. The good ones, the ones with real products and real payouts, were frustrated that they could not differentiate themselves from the noise online. They wanted a way to show traders who they really are. A booth at a generic finance conference was not the answer. They needed something built specifically for the prop trading community.
Why an Expo Was the Natural Next Step
Prop Firm Match connects traders and firms through data. Prop Firm Expo connects them in person. It is the same mission, just expressed differently.
We are not pivoting away from the platform. We are extending it into the physical world. The Prop Firm Expo team is the same team that built Prop Firm Match, which means we bring a unique combination of industry knowledge, audience trust, and direct relationships with both traders and firms.
No other organisation in the prop trading space has this combination. Generic events companies do not understand the nuances of prop trading. Firms hosting their own events have an inherent conflict of interest. We sit in the middle, independently, with the trust of both sides. That is what makes Prop Firm Expo different.
What We Want This Event to Be
We have been to plenty of trading events and finance conferences. Some are great. Many are not. The ones that fail tend to share the same problems: too much corporate fluff, not enough real value, and a general feeling that the event is designed for sponsors rather than attendees.
We are building Prop Firm Expo the opposite way. Every decision we make starts with one question: does this make the event better for the people in the room?
That means:
- Content that matters. The speaker programme is curated for depth, not filler. We are booking speakers who have real experience and real opinions, not people who will stand on stage and deliver a sales pitch.
- An exhibition that serves traders. Exhibitors are prop firms that traders actually want to meet. We are not filling booths with unrelated sponsors just to hit a revenue target.
- Networking by design. The venue layout, schedule, and programming are all designed to give people time and space to talk. Because the conversations that happen between sessions are often the most valuable part of any event.
- Production quality. The QEII Centre in Westminster is a world-class venue. The staging, AV, and event operations are being handled to the standards of a major conference, not a side meetup.
The Vision: A Global Series
London is just the beginning. Prop Firm Expo London 2026, taking place on June 27, is the first event in what we plan to build into a global series. The prop trading community is worldwide, and we believe traders in every major market deserve access to the same quality of event.
We are not going to rush this. London has to be exceptional first. But if the demand is there, and based on early ticket sales and exhibitor interest, it clearly is, then you can expect to see Prop Firm Expo expand to other cities in the future. Our goal is to build the definitive event series for the prop trading industry, the one that firms and traders mark on their calendars every year.
Why This Matters to Us Personally
Prop Firm Match was born out of frustration. We were traders ourselves, and we could not find reliable information about the firms we were considering. So we built the resource we wished had existed.
Prop Firm Expo comes from the same place. We have seen the prop trading community grow from a niche subculture into a global movement. But for all that growth, the community still lacks a physical home. There is no annual event where traders gather, where firms present themselves honestly, and where the industry comes together as a real ecosystem.
We want to create that. Not because it is a good business opportunity, although we believe it is, but because the community we have spent years building deserves it. The traders who visit Prop Firm Match every day, who follow our content, who trust our reviews, they deserve an event that matches the standard they have come to expect from us.
That is the bar we have set for ourselves. And on June 27, at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, we intend to clear it.
